Editorial policy

Articles and guides on excards.io are written and checked by ExCards Editorial, the service's own team. Card prices, fees and limits come only from our fees and card pages, and if an article disagrees with the fees page, the article gets fixed. Facts about other services link to their official sources. Every article shows when it was last checked.

This page explains who writes the guides and articles on excards.io, where the numbers in them come from, and what to do if you spot a mistake.

1. Who writes our materials

Articles and guides on this site are signed “ExCards Editorial”. That is the editorial team of the ExCards service, not a single named author. We sign as a team because every text is written and checked against the same sources and rules described below, and because we would rather not invent a byline.

2. Where the numbers come from

Product facts. Card prices, top-up fees, limits and supported networks are taken only from our own public pages: the fees page and the card pages (card comparison, Visa, Mastercard). If an article and the fees page ever disagree, the fees page is correct and the article gets fixed.

Outside figures. Anything about the wider market, networks or regulation is used only with a link to the original source, and only if that source is no more than 6 months old on the date the article was checked.

Money and tax topics. What we write about finances and taxes is general information. It is not personal financial, tax or legal advice. For your own situation, talk to a qualified adviser in your country.

3. How we keep articles up to date

Every article shows a visible “Updated” date next to its byline. When our fees or card terms change, we review the texts that mention them and update the date once the check is done.

4. How to report a mistake

If you think something in an article is wrong or out of date, write to us through the support chat in the app at app.excards.io or the Telegram support bot. Include the page address and what looks wrong. All contact options are listed on the contact page.

The editorial team checks the report against the sources above. If the text is wrong, we correct it and update the “Updated” date on the page.

5. What ExCards is, and what it is not

ExCards is not a bank. The cards are issued through licensed BIN sponsors on the Visa and Mastercard networks. See the risk disclosure for details.

KYC is required for every card. It is a light identity check with your passport, carried out by the card issuer partner. How it works is described on the KYC page.

Our articles are written to explain how crypto cards work, including their costs and limits. We say plainly when something is a limitation of our cards.
