Frequently Asked Questions

What is ExCards?

ExCards is a service that issues virtual Visa and Mastercard cards funded with USDT. You top up the card in cryptocurrency, the card pays merchants in fiat — works at any merchant that accepts Visa or Mastercard online (and offline for Mastercard Business). No bank account required.

How fast can I get my first card?

Under 10 minutes after light KYC verification (passport scan only). The virtual card is ready in your wallet right after — you can copy the card number or add Mastercard Business to Apple Pay / Google Pay immediately.

Is ExCards safe to use?

Cards are issued through licensed BIN sponsors. All authorizations go through 3D Secure 2.0. Top-up traffic uses TLS 1.3. Card balances are held by the card issuer partner (custodial). The ExCards platform does not store private keys to your main wallet.

What KYC do I need to provide?

Light KYC — a clear scan of your passport. We do not require selfie, video call, or liveness check. No biometric data is stored.

Which cards do you offer?

Two cards currently: Visa E-commerce ($35) — virtual card optimized for online services and subscriptions (OpenAI, Google, Meta, Shopify, AWS, Telegram, TikTok). Mastercard Business ($50) — high-limit business-class card with Apple Pay, Google Pay, 3DS and offline POS worldwide.

Do I have to pay anything before getting a card?

Yes. Card price ($35 or $50 in USDT) plus a mandatory $10 USDT top-up that is credited to your card balance (so it's not lost — it becomes your spending power).

What are the top-up fees?

3.5% on top-up amount for both cards. No monthly fees.

What are the per-transaction fees?

Visa E-commerce: $0.10 for transactions under $1, free above $1. Plus $0.03 per 3DS authentication. Plus $0.80 fee if your decline rate exceeds 10%. Mastercard Business: flat $0.50 per authorization.

Are there hidden FX fees?

The card issuer may charge additional FX conversion fees depending on the country of the merchant and the currency of the transaction. These are bank-side fees and disclosed by your issuer.

Which crypto networks are supported for top-up?

ERC-20 (Ethereum), TRC-20 (Tron), BEP-20 (Binance Smart Chain), Bitcoin, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche. Always double-check the network before sending.

Do you support BTC, ETH, SOL — or only USDT?

Card balance is denominated in USDT. You can deposit other cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, SOL, etc.) — they are converted to USDT inside your wallet at network rate before topping up the card.

What are the spending limits?

Visa E-commerce: $20,000 per transaction, unlimited daily and monthly. Mastercard Business: $250,000 per transaction, $500,000 daily, $1,000,000 monthly.

Can I have both cards at the same time?

Yes. Both cards share one USDT wallet. You can issue both and distribute USDT to whichever card you need for a specific payment.

Can I pay for ChatGPT / OpenAI / Anthropic with the card?

Yes — Visa E-commerce is built for AI services and online subscriptions. Mastercard Business also works.

Can I use the card on Meta / Google / TikTok ad accounts?

Yes — both cards work for ad platform billing. Mastercard Business is recommended for high spend (up to $1M/month).

Does Apple Pay / Google Pay work?

Apple Pay and Google Pay work with Mastercard Business. Visa E-commerce is online-only and does not support mobile wallets.

How do I see my transaction history?

Full transaction history is available in the app — go to the card details screen, swipe up for the transactions tab. Each entry shows merchant, amount in USD/EUR, fee, and time. You can export the list as CSV.

Can I withdraw cash from ATMs?

No — both cards are virtual. ATM cash withdrawal requires a physical card, which is not offered yet. Use Apple Pay or Google Pay (Mastercard Business) for tap-to-pay at POS.

Which countries are restricted?

Cards are not available for use inside sanctioned countries. Specific restrictions depend on the issuer's compliance policy and are checked at the time of card issuance.

How is the card protected from fraud?

All authorizations go through 3D Secure 2.0. Suspicious activity triggers automatic decline. Top-up traffic uses TLS 1.3.

Is the card balance custodial?

Yes — the card balance is held by our card issuer partner. Your main USDT wallet outside the card stays under your control until you choose to fund a card.

How do I get a refund?

Card price and top-up fees are non-refundable. The $10 mandatory top-up remains as card balance and is spendable. For declined transactions, the funds return to your card balance automatically.

What if I lose access to my Telegram account?

Account recovery is tied to your Telegram login. If you lose access to your Telegram, contact app.excards.io support with your card number prefix (first 6 digits) and last verified transaction details — the team will restore access after manual identity check.

How does ExCards make money?

From the card issuance fee ($35 / $50) and the 3.5% top-up fee. There is no monthly fee, no markup on FX (issuer-side conversion rates apply directly). No spread on USDT conversion at top-up.
