Crypto card for Telegram Premium: @PremiumBot, App Store or Google Play
Telegram sells Premium through the App Store, Google Play or @PremiumBot, and Fragment sells it for TON. A virtual ExCards Visa or Mastercard topped up with any crypto works for the card routes; the bot is the cheaper one, according to Telegram. For a monthly plan Visa E-commerce usually fits: payments from $1 carry no authorization fee.
Which card fits Telegram Premium
All three cards pay online, pass 3D Secure and work with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Premium is a small regular payment, so the fee on each charge matters most.
| Visa Universe | Visa E-commerce | Mastercard Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card price (one-time, at issuance) | 29 USDT | 35 USDT | 50 USDT |
| Top-up fee | 2% | 3.5% | 3.5% |
| Fee per payment of $1 and more | $0.50 | None, only $0.03 per 3D Secure check | $0.50, 3D Secure included |
| Fee per payment under $1 | $0.50 | $0.10 | $0.50 |
| Online payments and 3D Secure | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Pay and Google Pay | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Monthly or yearly Premium through @PremiumBot: Visa E-commerce. A charge of $1 or more costs only the 3D Secure check.
Premium bought inside the iPhone or Android app: the charge goes through your Apple Account or Google payments profile, so their rules apply. Read our pages on the App Store and Google Play first; Google Play, for example, lists virtual credit cards among methods it can't be used with.
None of this guarantees that a payment is approved. That decision belongs to the payment processor and card processing.
What Telegram's FAQ says
We read Telegram's official Premium FAQ and the Fragment page on 10.10.2026. We have not bought Premium in a test, so below is what Telegram states, not our experience.
- Three ways to subscribe. The App Store, Google Play (Telegram Settings, Telegram Premium) or @PremiumBot. The bot gives a discounted price because its payments are not subject to fees from Apple or Google. Source: Telegram Premium FAQ, checked 10.10.2026.
- Where the bot works. The FAQ says @PremiumBot is currently accessible from the direct versions of Telegram's Android, Desktop and macOS apps. Source: Telegram Premium FAQ, checked 10.10.2026.
- Price and currency in the bot. The currency and price of the first subscription depend on the country code of your Telegram phone number; later payments use the currency of the country of your payment method. Source: Telegram Premium FAQ, checked 10.10.2026.
- Who processes the card. Payment goes to a third-party payment processor, and Telegram does not store card details. Premium may be unavailable where local laws prevent it or where Telegram's payment processors do not support the country. Source: Telegram Premium FAQ, checked 10.10.2026.
- Fragment is a crypto route, not a card route. On Fragment you buy Premium for yourself or a friend with a TON wallet; no card is involved. Source: Fragment: Telegram Premium, checked 10.10.2026.
- Cancelling. Through the same route you paid with: the /stop command in @PremiumBot, Subscriptions in Google Play, or Subscriptions in your Apple ID settings on iOS. Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Source: Telegram Premium FAQ, checked 10.10.2026.
How to pay for Telegram Premium, step by step
- Issue the card. Sign up at app.excards.io, pass the light passport check and choose a card. The card price is paid once, at issuance. The virtual card is ready within 10 minutes after verification.
- Top up with any crypto. This is a separate step after the card is issued: send USDT, BTC, ETH or another supported coin to your deposit address. The first top-up is at least 10 USDT, and the top-up fee of your card is taken from each top-up. Keep a little more on the card than the Premium plan you choose.
- Choose the route. Through the bot: open @PremiumBot in Telegram Desktop, the macOS app or the direct Android version, choose a plan and enter the card number, expiry date and CVC. Through the store: in the Telegram app open Settings, Telegram Premium, and pay with the card saved in your Apple Account or Google payments profile.
- Confirm the payment. If a 3D Secure window opens, complete it right away. Renewals then charge the same card while there is money on it.
Common declines and what to do
| What you see | Likely reason | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Payment in @PremiumBot declined | Balance below the charge: on Visa Universe and Mastercard Business each payment also costs $0.50 | Top up with a margin and try once more |
| No card payment through the bot in your app | The FAQ lists the bot only for the direct Android, Desktop and macOS apps | Open @PremiumBot in Telegram Desktop or the macOS app |
| The price is in an unexpected currency | The first payment follows your phone number's country, later ones the card's country | This is how Telegram sets prices; check the amount before paying |
| In-app purchase refused | Apple or Google declined the payment method | See our App Store or Google Play page, or use the bot |
| Payment stuck, then declined | The 3D Secure check was not finished or timed out | Retry and complete the confirmation without closing the window |
| Premium is not offered at all | Local rules or no supported payment processor in your country | A card cannot change this; the FAQ explains the reasons |
Do not press "pay" over and over. On Visa E-commerce a $0.80 surcharge applies if more than 10% of the card's payments are declined. If the price is not in US dollars, the issuer converts at its rate, which can include a markup of up to 2%. Where cards are available at all is on the geo restrictions page.
