How does a USDT card work?
You top up your card balance with any crypto (ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20, Bitcoin, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche and more); it is credited in USDT. When you pay, the USDT balance is debited and the merchant receives fiat (USD/EUR/etc.) at the network rate.
Where can I use my ExCards crypto debit card?
All three cards work online wherever Visa or Mastercard is accepted: subscriptions, AI services (OpenAI, ChatGPT), ad platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok), SaaS tools, marketplaces. Visa E-commerce and Mastercard Business also pay offline in stores (POS), including through Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cards do not work inside sanctioned countries.
Are there fees for topping up with crypto?
Yes — 2% on top-up for Visa Universe and 3.5% for Visa E-commerce and Mastercard Business. There is no monthly fee. Per-transaction authorization: Visa Universe = $0.50, Visa E-commerce = $0.10 for transactions under $1 (free above $1), Mastercard Business = flat $0.50. Issuer may charge additional FX conversion fees depending on the card's country and operation currency.
Is this a non-custodial card?
No, the card balance is custodial (held with our card issuer partner). However, your main wallet stays under your control until you choose to fund a card. You move USDT to the card balance only when you want to spend it.
Can I withdraw cash from ATMs?
Currently no — all our cards are virtual. ATM cash withdrawal requires a physical card, which we don't offer yet. For in-store payments, Visa E-commerce and Mastercard Business support Apple Pay and Google Pay tap-to-pay at contactless terminals. A physical Visa E-commerce card is open for pre-order.
