Risk Disclosure

1. Not a bank, not investment advice

ExCards is not a bank, broker-dealer, or financial advisor. The service provides access to virtual debit cards issued by a third-party card issuer partner and funded with cryptocurrency. We do not offer investment products or guaranteed returns.

2. Market and exchange rate risk

The value of USDT on your card balance and during transactions is subject to cryptocurrency market dynamics and exchange rates. While USDT is designed to peg to USD, depegging events have occurred historically. We do not guarantee a fixed exchange rate.

3. Network risk

Crypto top-ups depend on the operational status of the underlying blockchain networks (Ethereum, Tron, BSC, Bitcoin, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche). Network congestion, halts, or chain reorganizations may delay or fail top-ups. Always verify network selection.

4. Issuer and counterparty risk

Card balances are held by our card issuer partner (custodial). If the issuer ceases operations, becomes insolvent, or has its program suspended by Visa or Mastercard, your ability to spend the card balance may be impaired. There is no government deposit insurance equivalent for these balances.

5. Network operator risk

Cards operate under Visa or Mastercard network rules. Network rule changes, geographic acceptance changes, or merchant category changes may affect where the card works without prior notice.

6. Merchant rejection

Some merchants may reject crypto-funded cards based on BIN routing, geographic mismatch, or anti-fraud policies. Declined transactions are not refundable in the form of fees paid for authorization attempts.

7. Regulatory risk

Cryptocurrency regulation varies by jurisdiction and changes frequently. Future regulation may restrict, tax, or prohibit the use of crypto-funded cards in your country. You are responsible for compliance with your local tax and reporting obligations.

8. Fraud and key-management risk

You are responsible for the security of the wallet used to fund the card. Loss of access to your funding wallet does not affect your card balance directly but may prevent future top-ups. Lost or stolen card credentials should be reported immediately via app.excards.io.

9. No guaranteed availability

The service is provided on an as-is, as-available basis. Downtime, maintenance, or external dependencies (Visa/Mastercard rails, blockchain RPCs, OpenRouter AI assistant) may temporarily impair functionality.

10. No reversal

Crypto top-ups are typically irreversible on-chain. Once funds are credited to the card balance, the balance is non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Visa/Mastercard chargeback rules.

11. Acceptance of risk

By using ExCards, you acknowledge that you have read and accept the risks set out in this disclosure. If you do not understand any risk, do not use the service.
