Crypto card for Canva and Adobe: pay Canva Pro and Creative Cloud
Canva and Adobe charge a card, so the route is a virtual ExCards Visa or Mastercard that you top up with any crypto. For a monthly Canva Pro or Creative Cloud plan, Visa E-commerce usually fits: payments from $1 carry no authorization fee. Add the card in Canva under Settings, Billing, or in your Adobe account, and confirm 3D Secure when asked.
Which card fits Canva and Adobe
All three cards pay online, pass 3D Secure and work with Apple Pay and Google Pay. For a design subscription the difference is what each payment and each top-up costs you.
| Visa Universe | Visa E-commerce | Mastercard Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card price (one-time, at issuance) | 29 USDT | 35 USDT | 50 USDT |
| Top-up fee | 2% | 3.5% | 3.5% |
| Fee per payment (authorization) | $0.50 flat | Free from $1, plus $0.03 per 3D Secure check | $0.50 flat, 3D Secure included |
| Online payments and 3D Secure | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Pay and Google Pay | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Limit per payment | $1,000,000 | $20,000 | $250,000 |
Canva Pro or a monthly Creative Cloud plan: Visa E-commerce. A monthly charge above $1 costs only the 3D Secure check, and the card has no daily or monthly cap.
A yearly plan paid upfront: Visa Universe. When you put a few hundred dollars on the card at once, the lower top-up fee (2% against 3.5%) outweighs the flat $0.50 per payment.
Canva Teams or Creative Cloud for a small studio: Mastercard Business, if the same card also pays for other company tools and you need higher limits.
None of this guarantees that a payment is approved. That decision belongs to Canva's and Adobe's payment checks and card processing.
What the Canva and Adobe help centers say
We read the official help pages of both services on 14.10.2026. We have not made test payments, so below is what the services state, not our experience.
- Canva takes credit and debit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB and Diners for Canva Pro and Teams plans. Debit cards are not supported in Brazil and India. Prepaid cards are not mentioned either way. Source: Pay using credit or debit card, checked 14.10.2026.
- Canva picks the currency by your location. If your local currency is not available, you are charged in US dollars. Canva asks you to make sure the card can pay in the suggested currency and is enabled for online and international purchases. Sources: Pay using credit or debit card and My payment failed or didn't complete, checked 14.10.2026.
- Canva gives 16 days after a failed renewal. It retries the charge several times, Pro features stay on, and after 16 days the account moves to the Free plan. Designs stay saved. Source: My payment failed or didn't complete, checked 14.10.2026.
- Adobe accepts credit cards for Creative Cloud in all supported countries, PayPal in a few, and other options in some countries. To check that a new card is valid, Adobe may place a temporary one-dollar verification charge and then remove it. Source: Online order and payment FAQ, checked 14.10.2026.
- Adobe plans are tied to a country. The country of purchase must match the country where you mainly use the plan, and Adobe advises using a payment method registered in the same country. Sources: Your Adobe plan doesn't align with your primary country of use and Retry failed or missed payments, checked 14.10.2026.
- A failed Adobe payment suspends the plan. Adobe keeps trying to charge the card for the rest of the term and restores access once the payment goes through. The card is changed in your Adobe account under Plans and payment, Change payment. Source: Retry failed or missed payments, checked 14.10.2026.
How to pay for Canva or Adobe, step by step
- Issue the card. Sign up at app.excards.io, pass the light passport check and choose a card. The card price is paid once, at issuance. The virtual card is ready within 10 minutes after verification.
- Top up with any crypto. This is a separate step after the card is issued: send USDT, BTC, ETH or another supported coin to your deposit address. The first top-up is at least 10 USDT, and the top-up fee of your card is taken from each top-up. Put on the card a little more than the plan, so a verification charge does not leave it short.
- Add the card to the service. Canva: in the upgrade prompt choose Credit or debit card, or add the card beforehand in Settings, Billing. Adobe: choose a plan and pay at checkout; later the card is changed in your Adobe account under Plans and payment, Change payment. Enter the billing address you actually live at.
- Confirm the payment. Canva notes that the card issuer may ask for an extra verification step; if a 3D Secure window opens, complete it right away. After that, renewals charge the same card while there is money on it.
If you pay for Canva in the mobile app, Canva points you to the card linked to your App Store or Google Play account (Credit or debit card errors, checked 14.10.2026). How that works is on the App Store and Google Play pages.
Common declines and what to do
| What you see | Likely reason | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Card declined on the first payment | Balance below the charge: on Visa Universe and Mastercard Business each payment also costs $0.50 | Top up with a margin and try once more |
| Payment stuck, then declined | The 3D Secure check was not finished or timed out | Retry and complete the confirmation without closing the window |
| Canva says the card cannot pay | The card is not set for the currency Canva picked, or the country and ZIP code are wrong | Check the currency and address on the payment form; ZIP is needed only for US addresses |
| Adobe declines and mentions the country | The account country, the place you use the plan and the card's country do not line up | Use an account in the country where you live; if the card still does not fit, ask @excards_bot before trying again |
| The card is refused whatever you do | The service's checks did not accept this card | Stop retrying, try another of the three cards or write to @excards_bot |
| Renewal failed and Pro features are about to switch off | Not enough on the card on the renewal date | Top up; Canva retries within 16 days, Adobe keeps retrying, or pay by hand in billing settings |
Do not press "pay" over and over. On Visa E-commerce a $0.80 surcharge applies if more than 10% of the card's payments are declined. If the service charges in a currency other than USD, the issuer converts at its rate, which can include a markup of up to 2%. Where cards are available at all is on the geo restrictions page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for Canva Pro with crypto?
Canva does not list crypto among its payment options, so you top up an ExCards card with crypto and pay Canva with the card. Canva accepts Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. Whether a particular payment goes through is decided by Canva's payment checks and card processing, so no card can promise it.
Which ExCards card is best for Canva or Creative Cloud?
For a monthly plan, Visa E-commerce usually fits best: payments from $1 carry no authorization fee, only $0.03 for a 3D Secure check, and the card has no daily or monthly cap. Visa Universe has the lowest top-up fee, 2%, which pays off on a yearly plan paid upfront.
Why did Adobe charge one dollar when I added the card?
Adobe says it may place a small verification charge to confirm the card is valid and not reported lost or stolen, and removes it once the card is verified. Keep a few dollars more than the plan price on the card so this check does not cause a decline.
Does the country of my Adobe account matter?
Yes. Adobe says its plans are geo-specific: the country of purchase must match the country where you mainly use the plan, and the payment method should be registered in the same country. Set up the account for the country you actually live in.
What happens if my Canva Pro renewal fails?
Canva retries the charge several times over 16 days and keeps Pro features on during that time. If the payment still fails, the plan is cancelled and the account moves to Free; your designs stay saved. Top up the card and update the payment in Settings, Billing.
Is identity verification needed to get the card?
Yes. KYC is required for every ExCards card: a light passport check by the card issuer partner plus sanctions screening. The virtual card is issued within 10 minutes after verification is approved.
